What is Nippers?

Nippers is an exciting recreational and educational program for 5-13 year old kids with a keen interest in being active and safe around water.

Brighton Life Saving Club program is not just about learning life saving skills. It is about learning to fully appreciate the beach and the water, developing friendships, being part of a club and the whole community.

It is also about getting kids outdoors and keeping them active. Nippers can be the start of a lifelong journey with a wide range of programs that provide pathways into becoming a lifesaver in the future.

BLSC Nippers 2021/22 - School Holiday Program

The Brighton Life Saving Club's focus is on the safety of it's volunteers, broader members and the community. The club's  School Holiday program is an important part of our effort to increase water safety awareness and confidence through the community. However, with increasing COVID case numbers, the club has made the difficult decision to post-phone the BLSC School Holiday program.

Like any organisations, COVID is impacting on our members and with case numbers rising across our volunteers and community, we may not be able to properly support the event, nor ensure the safety of all participants in the water and from the further spread of COVID.

**At this stage, we are continuing to run our Club Competition training sessions (for current members) on Wednesday at 5.30pm and Sundays at 10.00am.

We are looking to reconvene the BLSC School Holiday Program in the Term 1 school holiday break, commencing on or around the 10th April. We will update when details are confirmed.

We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you for the reconvened event in April.

As per LSV: 'At this time, we do ask clubs to review all activties - each club should review all current activties based on their specific scenarios, resourcing and transmission rates. LSV will provide guidance as required. This includes re-considering non-essential social activities at this time.
